The value of museums

Museums have a major impact to local and national economies.

With continued support from local authorities, the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and other public and private funders, museums can play an ever more important role in our economy and communities. 

The findings of this report include the economic output of museums to the national economy is £1.45 billion.
